About me…

I am a humanistic,  person- centred counsellor and a wellbeing consultant.  As a person-centred therapist, I believe you are the expert in your own life, and that my role is to walk alongside you,  helping  you discover the strategies, tools and coping mechanisms that exist within you. My desire is to understand and empathise with what you are going through, to give you as much time as you need to explore what’s going on for you and to work together to provide some answers.  I use integrative methods as appropriate, so there may be times when it feels useful to use things from other counselling methods. I have worked predominantly with female survivors of domestic violence, clients with stress, anxiety, depression, anger management issues and low self-esteem.

I have extensive experience in the employability and health arena, leading large teams and managing welfare to work  and skills programmes that provide tailored solutions to people suffering from mental and physical health issues and long-term unemployment. I have worked in the public, private  and voluntary sector and led regional and national teams and delivered complex contract outcomes for various funders. My focus in recent years has been on helping teams create the right culture for success through increased self-awareness, enhanced working relationships, stress reduction and assisting teams to communicate clearly and effectively. All of these things relate to people’s wellbeing and performance at work.  I am passionate about helping people, about providing an exceptional service to the client, and helping someone change their life through providing the right support.

I am a BACP registered member, and am fully insured.
